Cursed Dream

Cursed Dream is a 2D side-scrolling turn-based RPG with roguelike structure and a strong narrative focus. Players explore a linear dungeon filled with environmental puzzles, strategic combat encounters, and hidden mysteries woven into the world itself. Progression alternates between exploration, puzzle-solving, and tactical battles where every decision matters. 

 With a dark and minimalist aesthetic, the game embraces a dense, introspective atmosphere. The story gradually unfolds through cryptic dialogue, mysterious characters like Oneiros, the spirit who guides and teases the protagonist, and revelations that connect the nightmare to the real world. Each room brings you closer to answers… but also closer to a truth you may not be ready to face.

Story:

Every night, Joseph wakes up in the same nightmare, but in a different environment.

Trapped inside a dungeon he does not recognize, yet somehow feels disturbingly familiar, he is forced to wander through dark corridors where souls are twisted into furniture, spirits speak in riddles, and something watches him from the shadows. At the heart of this cursed dream waits the Night Witch, an entity that does not simply wish to defeat him… but to corrupt him.

But this is not just a dream.

Joseph carries a past stained with guilt, blood, and illusion. Manipulated by dark magic and deceived into committing an unforgivable mistake, he now lives suspended between remorse and denial. Every death inside the nightmare sends him back to the real world, only for the cycle to begin again the moment he falls asleep.

To break the curse, Joseph must confront not only monsters and sorcery, but the memories that haunt him.
Because some nightmares are not born from the night… but from the things we try to forget.
